Palm Sunday & Holy Week
Chosen people of the Lord.
Singing Hosanna to our kind.
Going out to meet him waving palm branches as we sing.
It’s Palm Sunday! Which means we’re getting ready for the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord. This week is full of hope, and happiness, but also of sadness and despair. We celebrate Jesus’ life, but he was also betrayed by one of his own. Today is the day we read the Gospel which describes Jesus’ condemnation by Pontius Pilate, which is a very sad tale. It is also a very moving description. To know that Jesus died for you and your sins… doesn’t that make you look at your life and say “Wow, I’ve screwed up.”?
Well if you’re thinking that, or even if you’re not, most churches are offering confession many times this week. In the Boston Archdiocese, they are offering confessions on wednesdays during the week, and all throughout Lent (which ends at the end of this week.) Remember: The Light is on for You.
I urge you, even if you don’t go to church that often, or even at all, to find a local church, no matter the denomination, and go to holy week services. They are Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday – the Tridium.
Also, if you would like to receive prayer from me, please visit this page, and request prayer.
May God bless you, and keep you in the palm of his hand,
